NextGen Acquires New, Hot Technology
At NextGen, be believe in protecting our clients and meeting the requirements of our government. While we all may groan at the expense, the government has this one right:
Lead has been linked to a variety of defects in both children and adults. OSHA laws have required protection of clients and workers for years, but with no means of enforcement on the majority of jobs, the laws have gone largely un-enforced.
Now, however, with the new EPA laws, the government has a whole new workforce to enforce these requirements. What does this mean to you, as a property owner? Compliance! With fines starting at $35,000, this is no small deal. And just to add another “gotcha” into the mix we have a very new wrinkle: Homeowners and business owners are liable now as well! Gone are the days that you could blame your contractor and walk away “scott-free”.
At NextGen, we have a way of doing on-site, instant assessments BEFORE materials are disturbed. We have purchased a great new tool that uses XRAY technologies to survey up to 1” deep into any material to determine if there is lead present. And, because the device records all of the readings internally and prints directly from the device, it is considered an independent and uncorruptable stream of data. Therefore, can legally protect you.
At NextGen, the client is always first! See our page on EPA Lead Testing for more information.
